Dr Harry Brunjes (Chair of PMG) and Sir Tim Rice were the guest speakers at the Lansdowne Club, Berkeley Square, Mayfair on Thursday the 7th November 2019 to present Tommy Steele with a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’.
Tommy was presented the award for a career which up to date has spanned over 60 years involving every genre of show business, from Rock Star to TV Star, from The West End to Broadway and of course to Hollywood itself.
Tommy’s first West End starring role was at The London Coliseum in 1958 and his most recent West End starring role was at The London Coliseum in 2018. Harry is Chairman of The London Coliseum and made much reference to this in his speech including the fact he had booked Tommy for the Christmas season of 2078 so to continue the sequence!
