Sarah Preston – Operations Director
Sarah is a registered nurse by background spending the last 20 years working closely with insurers and solicitors to help provide specialist assessment, opinion and treatment to their clients and claimants. Her passion is excellence in healthcare and particularly rehabilitation. She is a well-rounded, tech savvy operations specialist who loves to make sure organisations operate efficient, effective, value for money, client friendly, easily accessible healthcare services. She is particularly interested in measuring the effectiveness of healthcare interventions so that scarce resource can be optimally utilised. She makes the complex simple and loves a good story.
Suzanne Wilkinson – Account Director
As Account Director, Suzanne maintains the vital relationships between operational delivery and our clients. With over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Suzanne brings a wealth of client relationship management and operational delivery effectiveness to Medicals Direct. She is passionate about the client and customer journey; forward thinking to ensure that new ways of working and service delivery are at the forefront of moving Medicals Direct forward and positions us as the ‘go to’ supplier in the industry.
Starting out in 2001 with National Medical as the client services manager, Suzanne left to focus on her passion for customer service and built Principle Medical Services. After a successful 4 years and a few acquisitions later, Suzanne has brought those customer service centre of excellence expectations to Medicals Direct today.
Nishma Varsani – Operations Manager
Nishma joined Medicals Direct in 2010, shortly after graduating with a degree in English Literature. She started her career with the company as a customer service administrator, then became a senior and shortly after, a team leader. She says she was lucky to be given the opportunity to oversee two longitudinal social research studies after which she became the Nurse Network Manager where she was involved in recruiting and on-boarding new nurses as well as managing / providing support to the current network of self-employed associates. She is now the Operations Manager for both of the field screening services departments. Her role involves managing the staff within the two departments ensuring targets and SLAs are met, dealing with issues and escalations, looking at ways to improve client and customer satisfaction; also ensuring services are delivered to an exacting standard.
Lorraine Brailsford – Clinical Operations Manager
Lorraine has worked at Medicals Direct for 12 years. She has recently changed roles to the Clinical Operations Manager for the Tele Interviewing, GP Reporting and CARE (Care and Rehabilitation Excellence) departments where she supports the teams to provide effective and efficiently delivered services. Prior to working at Medicals Direct, Lorraine worked as a nurse in the NHS within a specialist plastic surgery and burns services; she also has a degree in psychology. This wide-ranging background allows Lorraine to promote a holistic approach to services operated by the teams as well as understanding business processes and the need for high quality administration so that her departments run smoothly.
Lina Vekaria – Business Improvement Manager
Lina has worked with Medicals Direct for almost 2 decades starting with a data entry role in 2002. She now uses her analytical prowess to look at ways to continually improve business processes as well as challenges technical limitations to provide streamlined service and easy to use systems. She manages change with our IT and operations teams acting as a conduit between the two areas. Medicals Direct is seeing more and more innovation, development and growth which is creating a new working environment for everyone to help continuously enhance the business. Lina keeps her eye on the horizon to ensure Medicals Direct keeps their eye on the future.

Over 250 nurses offer screening services in clinics or visit the customer in their own home.
Over 200 doctors do the same.
In partnership with our sister company Physio Link Medicals Direct offers service from a network of over 1100 physical therapists.
In partnership with Mind Link, Medicals Direct can offer psychological support to customers challenged by low mood, anxiety or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Having secure relationships with a wide range of medical experts and experts from allied health professional groups, Medicals Direct can offer expert opinion in all specialties.
We procure laboratory services from 3 excellent facilities such that no matter what happens we always have resilience in our testing services.
